Ronda Rich to speak at Pleasant Grove on Mother’s Day

    On Sunday, May 13, 2012, renowned author and acclaimed speaker Ronda Rich will be delivering the Mother’s Day message during the 11:00 a.m. worship service; and naturalist Tim Coleman returns, bringing his melodic voice and guitar artistry to lead worship.

     Ronda’s book What Southern Women Know About Faith was published in 2009.  It is a heart tugging and captivating look at the faith of the region’s women where she embeds many of the stories in humor with simple but provocative stories.  She is the ‘best selling author’ of What Southern Women Know (That Every Woman Should), a book that is now in its 29^th printing.  Ronda was born and raised in Hall County (an 11^th generation Georgian) where she and her husband Tink reside.  Her web-site address is www.RondaRich.com/

     Tim Coleman loves hunting and fishing and is an entrepreneur who owns and operates Southern Hydro Vac Inc. Dr. John Reid to Preach at Pleasant Grove

Dr. John Reid is an entrepreneur in the high tech industry who owns and operates his own company. He will preach at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, on Sunday, April 29th, during the 11:00 a.m. service. John and his wife Sari live in Dawsonville and worship and serve at McKee’s Chapel, also in Dawsonville. 

John is well known by the Pleasant Grove congregation, having guest preached several times over the past ten years. 

Pastor Jim Garvin says: “John’s sense of humor and love for Jesus strikes a resonant note in the hearts of his listeners and we are indeed fortunate that he will be with our congregation this coming Sunday!”

Rev Jim and his wife, Rev Ann Garvin, will be away at King’s Retreat, in Dallas, GA, serving on a Walk to Emmaus weekend.
